The latest effort by White & Case to build its new QFLP-licensed Singapore office has seen the transfer of London-based restructuring partner Kate Allchurch.
"This move is part of the firm's long-standing strategy to create a full-service finance and restructuring practice in Asia," said the firm's Asia head, Barrye Wall. "Kate's arrival broadens the practice in Asia, as well as strengthens our overall finance and restructuring capabilities."
In April, the Singapore office added aviation lawyer Sebastian Buss, also from the London office. Despite an announcement earlier this year that 200 of its lawyers worldwide would be made redundant, White & Case plans to continue expanding the new QFLP-licensed office, which will act as a hub for the firm's South Asia and India practices.
