Simmons & Simmons has poached Minter Ellison partner Brian Downie to head its projects practice in Asia.
Downie (pictured), who was promoted to partnership at Minter Ellison last year, will work alongside the Simmons energy & infrastructure team. He will focus on M&A, project development, environmental issues and dispute resolution.
Simmons also recently hired Wachovia Bank's former legal counsel for its equity derivates practice.
