Ashurst has appointed Singapore-based partner Matthew Bubb to its management board for a term of three years. The appointment follows the decision by Laurent Mabilat to step down after two terms on the board. Bubb will stand down from his role as managing partner in Singapore in order to focus on his new board role. Carl Dunton has been appointed to take over with immediate effect.
The Ashurst board also includes senior partner Charlie Geffen, managing partner James Collis, finance director Nigel Morland, Cristina Calvo, Anthony Clare, Reinhard Eyring, Mary Padbury, Ben Tidswell and Logan Mair.
Robert Ogilvy Watson has also been appointed as managing partner in Hong Kong on the back of the office’s significant growth and head of Asia Geoffrey Green’s increasing workload. Green is the co-chair of a six-partner Asia management committee set to oversee the firm’s growth in Asia.
