Pierre-Paul Saulou is the new senior associate in the regional insurance and reinsurance practice of Stephenson Harwood. The international insurance and reinsurance practice of Stephenson Harwood operates primarily from Singapore and Hong Kong and Saulou will be based in Singapore.
Saulou joins Stephenson Harwood from a specialist insurance and reinsurance law firm in Paris where he worked on notable industrial risk claims, including the collapse of a section of the new terminal 2E at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris in 2004 and the Buncefield oil depot explosion in the UK in 2005.
Saulou’s recruitment will bolster Stephenson Harwood’s regional trade credit and political risks practice. “Our trade credit and political risk practice is evidence of our strategy to integrate insurance and reinsurance into the firm’s other practice areas,” added Dewhurst. “We are exploiting the logical connection trade credit and political risk has with the work undertaken by our leading asset finance practice.”
Stephenson Harwood also recently appointed Alex Gordon as a consultant to the insurance and reinsurance practice in Hong Kong in April this year.
