This session is a practical illustration, through the use of case studies, of the various avenues available to deal with industrial disruption. Attend this session to understand how to successfully avoid industrial disputes by:
- Understanding what can cause an Industrial Dispute and how to avoid them
- Engaging employees with business outcomes
- Examining workplace rights as described under the Fair Work Act
- Clarifying what conduct undermines the employer's rights, and how to deal with it
- Designing and applying a dispute resolution process in an enterprise agreement
- Knowing when and how to involve Fair Work Australia or subject matter experts

Tim commenced working with Hunt & Hunt in 2010 as a partner in the corporate team and a member of the firm's national employment and workplace relations group. Tim joined Hunt & Hunt from a national top-tier law firm and has been a specialist in employment and related areas of law for more than 10 years.
Tim has a strong practice in workplace law, including in advising on management of restructuring, strategy and compliance in enterprise bargaining, dealing with industrial disputes and workplace rights
claims, termination of employment, equal opportunity and discrimination law and workplace health and safety.
