Vietnam firm Vilaf - Hong Duc has lured senior associates away from international firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Baker & McKenzie to boost its projects and commercial practices.

Vietnam's fourth largest firm - according to ALB50 statistics recorded in February 2003 - has added Duong Anh and Truc Hien to its ranks in Hanoi.

Duong Anh joins from the Hanoi office of Freshfields, where he advised on various commercial matters as well as on finance and infrastructure projects. He recently advised the lenders on the Phu My 3 BOT power project.

Truc Hien joins from the Hanoi office of Baker & McKenzie, where she accrued experience in commercial projects and tax matters in Vietnam.
