French firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has poached an in-house lawyer as well as a senior lawyer from a rival firm to bolster its Vietnam practice.
Pham Bach Duong, a banking & finance lawyer, joins the firm from the Vietnam office of Standard Chartered Bank where he was the company’s head of legal. During his time with the bank, he specialised in loans and trade finance to international companies operating in Vietnam, as well as state-owned and private borrowers.
Ha Dang Quang, a real estate lawyer, joins from Russin & Vecchi where he was a senior associate. His practice spans the entire spectrum of the practice area but has a specific focus on large-scale infrastructure, high-technology production facilities and the hotel and leisure industry.
The appointments of Duong and Quang bring the total number of lawyers in the firm’s Vietnam offices to 20.
