Atsumi & Partners has promoted Atsushi Iritani and Takuji Nozaka to the position of partner. Iritani’s expertise includes securitisation and project finance while Nozaka specialises in finance and general corporate law.

 

The Tokyo-based firm is notable for being the first Japanese law firm to create a foreign law joint venture, which permits the firm to admit experienced attorneys from other jurisdictions, bringing significant international expertise and capabilities to the firm. The first foreign partner to join a Japanese firm, Bonnie Dixon, is still with Atsumi.
