TressCox hire takes DLA departures to 12

TressCox Lawyers has become the latest firm to secure ex DLA Phillips Fox talent. Corporate and commercial partner Iain Rennie has joined the Sydney office of TressCox Lawyers only a week after nine Brisbane-based DLA partners defected to Thomsons Lawyers.
Rennie is the12th partner to leave the firm since DLA Phillips Fox announced an amalgamation with global firm DLA Piper in late January. Moray & Agnew and Corrs Chambers Westgarth have also secured partners from DLA.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Rennie has expertise in corporate and commercial advice, assisting clients in their dealings with regulators, M&A, joint ventures and other alliancing arrangements. In recent years he has assisted many offshore entities with inbound investments into Australia. In particular, he has worked alongside investors with their due diligence investigations, obtaining the necessary foreign investment and other regulatory approvals and the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents.
