Singapore-based Stamford Law has reeled in a trio of new hires from local competitors this month – Wendy Tan, Richard Tan and real estate specialist Richard Tan Ming Kirk.
Richard Tan, who was the former head of Lovells Lee & Lee’s Singapore international arbitration practice, joins its dispute resolution practice, where his industry contacts will be highly advantageous. His memberships with Asia’s senior arbitration institutions cover Singapore (SIAC), Hong Kong (Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre) and Indonesia (National Board of Arbitration Indonesia). He has also served clients such as the Singapore Contractors Association and the Singapore Film Commission.
Tan will work with the new practice director Wendy Tan (pictured) who is joining Stamford Law from KhattarWong. At KhattarWong, Wendy Tan spent three years heading some of the firm’s contentious and non-contentious shipping-related cases. She takes two associates with her to Stamford.
The third new lawyer is former Shook Lin & Bok consultant Richard Tan Ming Kirk, who joins as a consultant in the corporate real estate practice. He had previously been the head Shook Lin& Bok’s corporate real estate practice.
