Former Clayton Utz public and administrative law expert Michael Palfrey has joined Sparke Helmore as partner in the Canberra office. The new appointment further extends the firm’s commitment to the Commonwealth Government resources.
Palfrey brings to Sparke Helmore 11 years experience in public and administrative law, having worked previously in the legal branches of the Department of Finance and Deregulation, Department of Health and Ageing and the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Palfrey brings with him to the Canberra office a team of senior lawyers including consultant, James Stellios, associate professor in public law at the ANU College of Law. Stellios has previously worked with the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) and as counsel assisting the Commonwealth Solicitor-General, and had been a consultant at Clayton Utz since 2005.
