Rafael Morales has been elected as managing partner of  Philippines firm SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, succeeding Llewellyn Llanillo, who retired as a partner of the law firm last year.

Morales joined the firm in 1975 and was formerly the head of the firm's banking, finance and securities practice group. Morales's election to MP post at SyCip caps a distinguised career. In addition to being past president of the Inter Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) he has also served as a professorail lecturer at the University of Philippines College of Law and a visiting professor at La Trobe University's Law School in Melbourne.ALB
