Fresh from its successful US$225m acquisition of Lehman's Asia-Pacific assets in Japan and Australia, Nomura has revamped its panel.
Dewey & LeBoeuf, Norton Rose and Travers Smith are the new “faces” on the panel, joining existing members Allen & Overy, Ashurst, Freshfields and Linklaters. Nomura will also refer employment work to SJ Berwin and Osborne Clarke.
Meanwhile, in other Lehman Bros news, Bloomberg reports that the collapsed investment bank is continuing its legal battle to recover US$345 million from Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp in a case of alleged fraud. Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners and Takano Law Office are representing Lehman, while Nishimura & Asahi are defending Marubeni.
