Middletons has appointed a new partner, Catie Burdett, to its major projects and infrastructure group. Formerly a partner of Johnson Winter & Slattery, Burdett is an experienced commercial lawyer specialising in the area of transport, energy and infrastructure projects. She has advised and acted for both the public and private sectors on large construction, procurement, manufacturing and outsourcing projects.
Her appointment marks the continued growth of the firm’s capacity to advise on major projects and infrastructure across the country. “I see infrastructure projects as a key growth area both in the economy and the firm. It is exciting to be a part of the next phase of Middletons’ growth in this key area," said Burdett.
Middletons has acted for various project consortia, sponsors, lenders, participants and government bodies on a range of infrastructure projects, including hospitals, schools, aged care facilities, low-cost housing, roads, rail heads and ports.
