Midas, a leading manufacturer of aluminium alloy extrusion products, is the first Singapore-listed company to take advantage of an additional channel for capital-raising in Hong Kong. Earlier this year, changes to the HKSE listing rules saw a relaxation of criteria for companies to secondary list on the HKSE – in particular companies from the mining and petroleum sector – an option that few companies have exercised thus far.

Renhe “old faithful” retains favoured firms for SGX notes issue

Hong Kong-listed operator and developer of underground shopping centres in China, Renhe Commercial Holdings, has retained Kaiwen, Conyers Dill & Pearman, Norton Rose, Davis Polk and Latham & Watkins for the third time since its IPO, for its US$300m senior notes offering on the Singapore Securities Exchange (SGX- ST).

Orrick, Sidley clinch landmark issue transfer from LSE to HKSE

Sidley Austin, Orrick, Jingtian & Gongcheng, Carey Olsen, Memery Crystal and Zong Heng Law Firm have all won mandates in the first-ever delisting of a Chinese company from London’s AIM (alternative investment market) – and the subsequent listing in Hong Kong with a 144A placement to US investors.
