HWL Ebsworth transport partner Michael Neylan has moved to Middletons' Sydney office.
Neylan was attracted to the work and clients at Middletons. "The opportunity to join a large, experienced team, and give my clients access to the broad range of services, was ultimately what attracted me. The firm's straight-talking approach was refreshing," he said.
Bringing more than 25 years' experience in commercial transport law, he has been reunited with some former colleagues who had previously moved to Middletons. His senior lawyer Adam Jacobs and personal assistant have moved with him from HWL Ebsworth.
Neylan's clients have been supportive of the move, among them Sydney Ferries, which he advised on the disposal of jet cat ferries, DP World (stevedoring businesses disposal and joint ventures), and international ship owners.
Last year Middletons appointed Jane Owen to partnership at the firm’s new Innovations and IP Group in Sydney.
