HWL Ebsworth has added two new partners its commercial group, taking the total number of partner appointments in recent weeks to nine. Former Freehills senior partner Stephen Kerr and former executive counsel Teresa Torcasio will join the Melbourne office of HWL Ebsworth on 15 March.
Kerr was the head of Freehills’ commercial contracting team, and has a broad corporate commercial practice focusing on M&A, joint ventures, financial services, transport industry law, commercial contracting and outsourcing/procurement.
Torcasio specialises in commercial law and brings together her extensive legal skills and strong industry knowledge to provide practical high level commercial advice to clients in industries such as retail, manufacturing, mining services and franchising. "Stephen and Teresa are both highly regarded in their respective practice areas,” said Juan Martinez, managing partner at HWL Ebsworth.
