DLA Piper has appointed Sean Angle to lead its finance and projects practice group across the Middle East. Angle, who has over 20 years experience working in the region, joins the firm from Reed Smith and will bring with him two senior associates, Tim Watkins and Diwakir Agarwal.
In addition to his time with Reed Smith, Angle worked in Oman for nearly 16 years as head of Trowers & Hamlins’ office in the sultanate.
Angel’s practice focuses on IPOs, drafting of laws, regional structuring for multi-national businesses, corporate commercial deals, large industrial, real estate, power and water projects and ports. His appointment follows the hire of Murad Abida to lead the firm’s regional corporate practice in the Gulf.ALB
