Australian law firm Clayton Utz and its Hong Kong affiliate Haley & Co. has bolstered its front-end construction and major projects capabilities in the region with the appointment of construction and major projects consultant Ilan Freiman.

Previously director of legal - Asian construction at Sands China Limited/ Venetian Macau Limited Freiman managed the legal requirements for all aspects of the company's development projects in Asia, including the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel in Macau.

The appointment of Freiman coincides with the first anniversary of Clayton Utz in association with Haley Co. The joint venture specialises in construction and major projects, dispute resolution and international arbitration. "Our Hong Kong office continues to exceed expectations,” said Clayton Utz Hong Kong managing partner Colin Dodd.
