Blake Dawson has lost two property partners to mid-tier firm Maddocks.
The two partners, Lisa Chung and Bronwyn Badcock, have joined the firm only a week after fellow Blakes property partner Michael Swift departed to join Allion Legal in Perth as a principal.
Together Chung and Badcock have more than 40 years’ experience working on complex corporate real estate, government property, development and investment projects. Badcock has acted for DEXUS Property Group, IBM, BHP Billiton, Franklins, TransGrid, Ausgrid, the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority and other major private and public organisations. She became a Blakes partner in July 2005.
Chung joined the partnership in 1995 and has previously worked on property and development projects for Macquarie University, the Department of Defence, NSW Maritime and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
“As a new team based in Sydney, we have identified a range of opportunities we are now well placed to pursue,” said Chung. “We are already actively recruiting talented lawyers who share our commitment to the sector and the firm's values,” she said. Maddocks' new Sydney property group will focus on corporate real estate, government property, development and investment.
