Blake Dawson has been appointed as legal advisor for the Implementation Study for the Government's proposed A$43bn National Broadband Network (NBN) project after a competitive tender process.
Blake Dawson will be the primary provider of legal services to the Federal Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy in connection with the study. Bill Koeck will lead the Blake Dawson team that will also work closely with the study’s lead advisors McKinsey-KPMG, and the NBN project company.
The firm's managing partner, John Carrington, said Blake Dawson's selection as legal advisor was a testament to the firm's strong position in the areas of government, corporate M&A, infrastructure, competition law and telecommunications.
The NBN project will be a key economic and policy commitment for the Australian Government for the next eight years.
