Bakers gains new Tokyo banking counsel

Baker & McKenzie has appointed Haruhiko Ogasawara as a counsel in its Tokyo banking & finance practice group.
Ogasawara, who was previously a junior partner at Atsumi & Partners, specialises in real estate securitisation, public offering of J-REITs and securitisation of loan receivables, in addition to M&A, finance and capital markets work. Ogasawara previously worked as a senior associate with Morrison Foerster/Ito Mitomi.
Ogasawara’s appointment brings the number of lawyers in Bakers’ Tokyo banking & finance practice group to 41.
