Linklaters has announced that three of its litigation, insolvency & restructuring partners will move to its Hong Kong office from January 2009.
Senior litigation partner and white-collar crime expert Tom Lindstrom and corporate specialist David Ludwick will relocate from the firm's London headquarters, while former Simpson Thacher partner Jon Gray will join from its New York office.
The relocation of partners from firms' US and UK operations to Asia and the Gulf region has been an increasingly common trend over the last few months. In addition to this move, Clifford Chance, Paul Weiss, Jones Day, Skadden and many others have also shipped a number of its partners East in an effort to capitalise on an expected spike in insolvency, restructuring and corporate advisory work on offer in the region in the new year.
