Linklaters’ Dubai counsel David Charlier has joined Ashurst’s energy and infrastructure team as partner.
Charlier has over a decade of experience advising clients on energy and infrastructure matters, including financing, development and acquisitions. Some career highlights include advising the sponsors of the Red Sea Gateway Port Project in Jeddah, and the Kuwaiti petrochemical projects — Greater EQUATE and KPPC Aromatics. He also advised lenders on the US$10 billion Saudi Arabia Jubail Refinery Project.
Charlier’s appointment to Ashurst’s Dubai office follows several recent promotions in Ashurst’s Middle East team. Dubai-based energy lawyer Judith Kim and Abu Dhabi lawyers, David Jardine (infrastructure) and Alastair Holland (corporate), were all recently promoted to the partnership.
