Indian lawyer Srinivas Parthasarathy has made the move from the Mumbai office of leading local Indian firm J Sagar & Associates to Allen & Overy's India group based in the firm's Singapore joint venture office, Allen & Overy shook Lin & Bok.
Parthasarathy, who upon requalification as an English solicitor will become a partner with Allen & Overy, brings key client contacts from his India-related work and will advise clients on the international aspects of India-related deals. he has 12 years? experience in a broad range of work, particularly finance and securities.
The chairman of Allen & Overy's India group Alex Pease said the firm was addressing the growing demand it was seeing for quality advice on India related deals.
In other A&O news, the firm has also established an associated office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, further expanding its footprint in the Middle East, where it already has a Dubai office. A&O will be associated with Abdulaziz AlGasim Law Firm in Riyadh, where A&O partner Julian Johansen will be based.
