Litigation specialist firm Kennedys has hired construction and engineering lawyer Gordon Smith for its Singapore office. Smith joins the firm as a partner from the Perth office of Australian firm Allens Arthur Robinson and will become the firm’s 129th partner globally.
In addition to his construction expertise, Smith (pictured) has experience in arbitration and civil and structural engineering law. He has conducted cross-border arbitrations in England, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Jakarta. Smith is also a founding committee member of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore).
In addition to the Singapore office it opened in mid-2008, Kennedys also has offices in Auckland, Dubai, Hong Kong and Sydney.
