Norton Rose Australia has boosted its Australian IP practice with the appointment of Sydney IP partner Jackie O’Brien, who joins from Allens Arthur Robinson.
With more than 20 years of specialist experience, O’Brien is recognised as a leader in her area of practice with expertise across trademarks, copyright, patents, confidential information, designs and misleading and deceptive conduct.
“Jackie brings to Norton Rose Australia a wealth of knowledge and experience in IP law. Her industry experience fits well with our focus on financial services, FMCG, retail, media and the growing field of social media,” said Don Boyd, group deputy chief executive, Norton Rose Group.
O’Brien is the 11th significant lateral hire for Norton Rose Australia since the merger announcement between Deacons and Norton Rose.
