Michael Guilday (pictured) has left Allens Arthur Robinson, where he was a senior associate in the corporate & commercial department in Sydney, to join Linklaters in Hong Kong as counsel and head of the firm's Asian investment management practice.
Guilday succeeds Graham Turl, who left the firm to join funds management group, Blackrock, in Hong Kong. For Guilday it means a return to Linklaters; he was senior managing associate in the firm's London investment management group from 2002 to 2004.
Another Australian lawyer who has left the country is Adam Geldard. He has joined Cayman Islands firm Appleby, where he is an associate in the property practice group. Geldard comes from Mallesons Stephen Jaques, where he was a senior associate in the Brisbane office.
At Mallesons, Geldard acted for National Australia Bank, supervising their commercial leasing portfolio in Queensland. Other clients that he has acted for included General Electric (GE) Real Estate, Telstra Corporation, UBS and the Commonwealth Bank.
