Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia are strong future growth priorities, says Gavin MacLaren, Southeast Asia managing partner for Australian firm
Allens Arthur Robinson. MacLaren was commenting on the appointment of three new partners in Singapore, two of whom are set to relocate to Jakarta and Phnom Penh respectively.
“In Indonesia, our clients include leading resource companies such as Shell, BP and Medco whereas in Cambodia we’ve been very active in the banking and telecommunications fields as well as in projects. Clients in Cambodia include the IFC, the Royal Government of Cambodia, Total and Shinhan Bank,” said MacLaren. The firm’s Singapore clients include financial institutions such as
Merrill Lynch,
UBS and a number of hedge funds on a range of deals across the region.
The three new partners are Robert Fish, who will be remaining in Singapore, David Holme, who will relocate from Singapore to Jakarta later this year and Marae Ciantar, who will relocate to Phnom Penh to head up the firm’s Cambodia practice.
