Hwang Mok Park counsel Joshua Margolis has left the Korean firm to join Merrill Lynch in Seoul.
Margolis left HMP on 10 April to join Merrill as a vice president (front office, not legal) in its Global Principal Investments and Secured Finance group.
Previously an associate in the Tokyo office of White & Case, New York-admitted Margolis had been counsel with HMP since 2002 and had worked on its finance and securities team advising both foreign and domestic financial institutions on derivatives and structured finance transactions.
In March, he spoke on the credit support panel at an ISDA conference in Seoul where he discussed issues related to collateralisation of derivative transactions in Korea.
