Allen & Overy has strengthened its international capital markets (ICM) practice in Singapore with the hire of White & Case associate Jeremy Stoupas from London.
Stoupas joined the UK firm's local joint law venture with Shook Lin & Bok as a partner effective 16 February.
Having previously worked for A&O in London for more than five years, Stoupas brings back to the firm a broad ranging capital markets experience, including straight-debt and emerging markets transactions, all aspects of eurobonds and debt issuance programmes and issuances, and capital markets aspects of restructurings.
He also has experience in structured finance transactions, including collateralised debt obligations (CDO) transactions, repackagings of securities and with various types of primary market derivatives, including credit linked securities.
His recent work includes advising UBS and Merrill Lynch as joint-lead managers in connection with an issue by Alfa-Russia Finance B.V., a financing subsidiary of Russia's largest private bank, Alfa Bank.
