Allen & Overy and Davis Polk & Wardwell have both advised on the US$785m equity offering by ICICI Bank Limited.
Hong Kong-based US partner David Johnson led an A&O team advising DSP Merrill Lynch, JM Morgan Stanley Private Limited and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited as book-running lead managers on the offering.
The UK firm had previously advised the managers on the Indian bank's US$300m bond issuance in October last year.
Meanwhile, Davis Polk & Wardwell advised ICICI Bank Limited.
The shares were sold in a public offering in India, in the US by way of private placements to qualified institutional buyers, and outside the US in reliance on Regulation S.
Mumbai-based ICICI Bank Limited, India's largest private-sector bank and its second largest bank based on total assets, is listed on Indian stock exchanges and has ADSs listed on the NYSE. It also has representative offices in the US, the UAE and China, an offshore branch in Singapore and subsidiaries in the UK and Canada.
