DEAL SUMMARY

Financing of three ATR 72-500 aircraft for PT Wings Abadi, the turboprop operator in the Lion Air group

Stephenson Harwood also advised Wings on the aircraft order.

Structured as an operating lease transaction to optimise the taxation treatment of the transaction for Wings and Lion,

whilst retaining the key features and benefits of a finance lease transaction. First deal to be structured this way in Indonesia.

Financing provided by BNP Paribas and supported by COFACE and SACE,

Stephenson Harwood is longstanding counsel to Lion Air Group. Relationship enabled consistency between the terms if this transaction and Lion’s other aircraft financing transactions.
