DEAL SUMMARY

· Rio Tinto and Chinalco subsidiary, Chalco, have entered into agreement for the development and operation of the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea

· Chalco will earn 44.6% interest in the project by sole funding expenditure of US$1.35bn
